San Francisco Movie Tours was founded in 2004 to fill the market need of providing motorcoach tours to famous San Francisco movie locations for both individuals and groups.
San Francisco Movie Tours operates as a division of Carpe Diem Ventures, LLC. San Francisco Movie Tours is a San Francisco-based tour company.
We are focused on making a difference in our community. We give a portion of all proceeds to support community projects designed to assist San Francisco citizens in need. In addition, we hire drivers from San Francisco’s Delancey Street Foundation’s “work out program.” The foundation’s mission is to provide a structured educational and living environment in which men and women, most of whom are ex-felons and substance abusers, can learn the skills they need to rebuild their lives.
We are fully insured and licensed by the State of California Public Utilities Commission and are regulated and inspected annually by the California Highway Patrol. We are proud members in good standing at the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau. All of our drivers are drug tested at time of hire as well as randomly throughout the year. We make sure that our vehicles are always in excellent mechanical condition by doing daily inspections and keeping a rigid maintenance schedule.
We train all of our guides one-on-one to make sure that they are knowledgeable, courteous and most of all, able to attend to your needs. We maintain a training program and a resource library for guides to stay current on relevant material. In addition, we test drivers on a periodic basis on their knowledge of the areas we visit.
We know you work hard all year to take a vacation so we make sure to do everything in our power to make your tour a memory you’ll treasure for a lifetime!
